Ukraine men's and women's student futsal teams suffer defeats at World Championship in Shanghai
In Shanghai, China, the World Futsal Championship is underway featuring both men's and women's student teams from Ukraine.
The men's tournament includes 14 teams, while the women's tournament has seven. Players up to the age of 25 — born in 1999 and younger — are eligible to participate.
Today, on June 15, the Ukrainian men's team lost in the semifinals to Croatia with a score of 2:4 and will compete against France for the bronze medal tomorrow. Meanwhile, our women's team was defeated by Germany with a score of 0:1. Their final position will be determined after Sunday's match between Germany and Poland.
