    After independence, Ukraine created its own national team which played its debut match in 1992 against Hungary.

  • Stepping onto the International Stage

    The team consistently competed in World Cup and European Championship qualifiers. In 2006, Ukraine qualified for its first World Cup.

  • Formation of a New Generation

    After success in Germany, the team underwent a generational change. Andriy Shevchenko became a symbol of a new era in Ukrainian football.

  • Euro on Home Soil

    Ukraine co-hosted the 2012 European Championship with Poland.

  • A New Style of Play

    Under Shevchenko's leadership, the team began to showcase modern attacking football.
