In Bratislava, a former high-ranking official of the Football Federation of Ukraine was detained by Slovakian authorities. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kryvenko.

A former high-ranking official of the Football Federation of Ukraine has been arrested in Bratislava. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko.

"According to the investigation, the detained individual organized a scheme to siphon off nearly 295 million hryvnia from the Federation through affiliated commercial structures. The Football Federation of Ukraine and its regional offices suffered significant losses," according to the statement.

In 2024–2025, two independent auditing companies ("AC Crow Ukraine" and "Bakertilly") conducted a financial audit of the activities of the UAF for the period from 2015 to 2023. The auditors documented significant embezzlement of funds. The Ukrainian Football Association expects these funds to be returned to Ukrainian football.
