At P. Bazhuka Stadium in Stanishevtsi, the "Open Football Festival" took place, bringing children together around sports, active fun, and positive emotions.

"Open Football Festivals" arrived in Zhytomyr Oblast

Children from the Stanyshiv community of Zhytomyr region participated in the event, for whom a rich program was prepared with football exercises, active games, and educational activities.

Honored guests included: Denis Sukhoruk, head of the amateur and mass football department at the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA), Yevgeniy Stolitenko, project coordinator from UFA, Ruslan Pavlyuk, chairman of the Zhytomyr Regional Football Association, Yuriy Matviychuk, mayor of Stanyshiv village, and Ruslan Mayevsky, project coordinator in Zhytomyr region.

The festival program covered six thematic locations where children could try themselves in various activities, develop new skills, and receive positive emotions: "Psychologist's Square," "Games for Development," "Football Technique," "Safety Square," "Fun Games," and "Football Game."

During the games, children applied their acquired skills, learned teamwork, and demonstrated true football spirit.

The festival gave children not only an opportunity to spend time actively but also to learn how to support each other, work as a team, and respect others. Because football develops not just physical abilities but also communication, mutual understanding, and confidence in one's own strength.

We remind you that the project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association within the framework of the donor program "Restoration and Resilience under Youth Leadership in Ukraine" with support from the Cross-Cultural Projects Association and organization CISU (Civil Society in Development) from Denmark.

The "Open Football Festivals" project of the Ukrainian Football Association is:

— youth leadership and development of volunteering in communities;

— psychosocial support for children of military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons (IDPs), and children affected by war;

— an inclusive environment where everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of safety in wartime conditions;

— the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing rather than results at any cost;

— the first football experience for children.
