Several important things happened today.

All day, energy workers and rescuers have been working very actively in Kherson region as well as in Donetsk oblast — liquidating the consequences of attacks on energy facilities. In particular, there were power outages in Kherson today due to Russian bombs. Our repair crews are doing everything possible — currently, electricity supply has been restored in Kherson and almost all water supply services have resumed, except for ten buildings in Tavriysky microdistrict. As for these buildings — the repair work is expected to be completed tomorrow.

We must be aware that such Russian attacks will increase as winter approaches — on generation facilities and networks. We need to be prepared for this. We are strengthening our power plants (PPO) as much as possible, given the current conditions. Even more than is realistically possible: we are negotiating with partners about security measures that have not been used before. However, a lot will also depend on the readiness of local authorities, especially in cities, and on preparatory work by energy companies and communications operators. Everyone must do their part to defend against Russian terror this winter so that it does not stop Ukraine. Just as on the battlefield, we need to be maximally resilient and strong in all spheres.

The schedule for the week includes new meetings with partners regarding strengthening Ukraine's defense. We will also work on making reconstruction more active in Ukraine. We are preparing new steps to ensure that attention to Ukraine remains at a sufficient level given the current global security situation.

Ukrainian diplomats, intelligence services, and security forces continue working to help our citizens who found themselves in the Middle East — in Israel and on Gaza Strip territory.

Evacuation of Ukrainians from Israel is ongoing: over 200 people have already been evacuated to Romania — mostly women and children. New flights are being prepared. We know that almost 260 of our citizens are currently in the Gaza Strip area. At present, exit from there is blocked for citizens of all countries, but we are working with partners to evacuate our citizens. Ukrainian diplomats are ready to help every citizen who needs it. Therefore, I once again appeal to all Ukrainians and Ukrainian women who may be abroad and need assistance: contact our diplomatic missions abroad at any time.

And one more thing. Every day, our cities and villages in border regions with Russia and along the front line suffer from terrorist attacks by occupiers. And every day help is provided to our people there — this is very important. No matter what happens, Ukrainians care for each other, and the state remains functional. Ukraine cannot be defeated because it cannot defeat its own people.

And please support and thank everyone who works for people's sake, who protects lives. Our rescuers, doctors, medical sisters and brothers, our volunteers, police officers, communal service workers, energy workers — without them there would be no normal life. Everyone is important. Everyone deserves gratitude.
