Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on October 15, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The fifth hundred and ninety-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employs the Kremlin's typical tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shelled both military and a significant number of civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

Forces of Ukraine's Defense continue to conduct defense operations on the east and south of Ukraine, an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions.

During the past day, there were nearly 60 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out two missile strikes and 43 air strikes, conducted 59 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers on our military positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit Hremincha in Chernihiv Oblast; Golubivka, Kupiansk, Petro-Pavlivka, Podolya, Pyskanе Kharkiv Oblast; Nevske, Bilotoretske, Seredynskiy Forest Luhansk Oblast; Spirene, Rozdolovka, Klyshchyvka, Oleksandr-Shulhtyne, Keramik, Ocheretinе, Progress, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Urozhayne, Staromaiorske Donetsk Oblast; Novodarivka and Novodanylivka Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Berislav Kherson Oblast.

Under artillery fire were nearly 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

In the North and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv Oblast.

In the Lyman direction forces of defense continue to hold back the enemy's offensive operations around Makеyevka, Seredynsky Forest Luhansk Oblast and Toretsk Donetsk Oblast. Here our defenders repelled seven enemy attacks.

In the Bakhmut direction Ukrainian soldiers continue assault actions south of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to break through our defense but without success. Our defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of Avdiivka, Tonikha and Pervomaisk Donetsk Oblast.

In the Mariinka direction during the past day forces of defense repelled over ten enemy attacks around Mariinka, Donetsk Oblast.

In the Shakhtarsky direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction occupiers five times attempted to restore lost positions around Robotino and Verbovе Zaporizhzhia Oblast but were unsuccessful.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, forces of defense conduct counter-battery fire, destroy enemy supply points and successfully target their rear.

Forces of Ukraine's Defense continue an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, aviation of forces of defense carried out 12 strikes against areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two more — against air-defense missile systems of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops targeted command post, two artillery units and an area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 880 occupiers, eight tanks, 25 armored combat vehicles, 33 artillery systems, two MLRS, four tactical drones, 24 vehicles and five units of special equipment.
