Note for Attention — Operational Information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 24.04.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

The sixtieth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

A full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is ongoing.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of destroying the units of the United Forces, establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and securing a land route between these territories and the occupied Crimea.

The adversary is conducting redeployment and reinforcing rocket forces and artillery units to support offensive operations, continuing to deliver missile and air strikes on military and civilian infrastructure objects.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions the enemy did not conduct active operations. The designated units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks for covering the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Brest and Gomel regions. Engineering equipment was carried out at positions in the areas of Grabovka, Globocze, and Kalininovo in the Gomel region.

On the Northern Direction no significant changes. The border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation continues to ensure enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy is reinforcing engineering-fortification equipment at positions in the Bryansk region up to 3 km from Ukraine's state border.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the adversary increases troop concentrations through redeployment and concentration of additional units in the Belgorod region. Thus, according to available data, within 60 km from Ukraine's state border, launch systems of OTRK "Iskander-M" have been deployed. The enemy continues partial blockading of Kharkiv, conducting fire strikes on our military units and critical infrastructure objects. To complicate the movement of units of the Defense Forces in the area of Korotychi village, the adversary conducted remote mine-laying.

Occupants are shelling positions of our troops near Kurylka and Novo Dmitriyevka villages, conducting aerial reconnaissance of positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces units using UAV "Orlan-102" in Barvinokove, Kurylka, and Gusarivka areas.

On the Donetsk and Tavrian Directions the enemy is carrying out fire strikes on our troops' positions with the use of mortars, artillery, and multiple rocket launchers along the entire line of contact. Offensive and assault operations have intensified in Severodonetsk, Krasny Liman, and Popasna areas. Battles are ongoing near Zariichne, Rubizhne, and Popasnaya villages. On the Severodonetsk direction, the enemy has established pontoon bridges across the Red River. In Avdiivka area, it is reinforcing anti-aircraft defense systems.

On the Mariupol Direction the enemy continues to conduct fire strikes and block our units in the Azovstal plant area. Carries out air attacks, including with long-range aircraft. Using railway connections, the adversary is attempting to restore logistical support for troops.

On the South Buzhsky Direction the enemy continues to hold occupied positions, on some directions attempts to improve tactical situation, carries out fire strikes on our military units' positions and civilian infrastructure objects of Ukrainian settlements.

By the grouping of Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with other air defense units of the Defense Forces over the past day destroyed seventeen aerial targets: nine UAVs, three aircraft, and five cruise missiles.

In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day repelled twelve attacks by Russian occupiers, destroyed four tanks, fifteen armored vehicles, and four units of automotive equipment, as well as five artillery systems.
