"Open Football Festivals" arrived in Kyiv Oblast

Recently, at Zakharchivsky Gymnasium in Kyiv Oblast, an incredibly energetic and beneficial "Open Football Festival" took place, bringing together 72 boys and girls from grades 3 to 6.

"Open Football Festivals" arrived in Kyiv Oblast

The festival opening was attended by distinguished guests who supported the young participants with warm words: Deputy Head of Borodyanka Town Council Vadim Sheiko, member of the Kyiv Oblast Football Association Executive Committee Volodymyr Shoma, and village elder Halyna Nedashkivska from Zagalytsi.

Everything started with an exciting and joyful warm-up that charged the children's energy for the whole day!

In a positive mood, the children set out to conquer six thematic locations: "Football Technique," "Fun Games," "Developmental Games," "Football Games," "Psychologist's Corner," and "Safety Corner."

A pleasant and useful bonus for the gymnasium was a large package of new sports equipment that will help children be even more active in their physical education classes and breaks.

The Ukrainian Football Association thanks international donors for the project — the Cross-Cultural Projects Association and organization CISU (Civil Society in Development) from Denmark, as well as personally to the director of the association, Anders Levinson, for their long-term support and help to children during the war.

The Ukrainian Football Association's "Open Football Festivals" project is:

— youth leadership and development of volunteering in communities;

— psychosocial support for children of military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, IDPs, and children affected by the war;

— an inclusive environment where everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of safety in wartime;

— the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;

— the first football experience for children.
