Andriy Shevchenko and Ihor Belanov visited the event in London. Oleh Blokhin, unfortunately, had to miss the event due to health issues, but the organizers were expecting all three.

The special mission of the evening — Andriy Shevchenko presented an award to Lamine Yamal on stage.

We add that Ukraine is one of only nine countries in the history of football to have raised three or more different winners of the "Golden Ball." Our laureates are Oleh Blokhin (1975), Ihor Belanov (1986) and Andriy Shevchenko (2004). In addition to Ukraine, only Germany, Italy, France, England, Brazil, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain have three or more different players with this award.
