"I want to thank Ruslan Rotan and his coaching staff for their productive work at the helm of Ukraine's U-21 and Olympic teams! During my tenure as head coach of the national team, Ruslan Rotan's squad was our reliable reserve — players from the U-21 team who joined the senior team easily adapted to our playing style. Later, the U-21 team not only consistently prepared players for the national team but also achieved significant sporting results. The semifinal at the U-21 European Championship and the historic first participation in the football tournament at the Summer Olympics will forever be etched in history. I am confident that the coaching experience of Ruslan Rotan and his staff will continue to benefit Ukrainian football in the future," said the President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, Andriy Shevchenko.
