Today, the Ukrainian women's youth national team played their third match in the first round of qualification for the 2024 European Championship (WU-19) in League L.

Earlier, under Nataliya Ignatovich, they defeated Armenia (6:0) and Luxembourg (6:0). To secure first place in the group, a draw with North Macedonia would have been sufficient.

The Balkan team opened the scoring on the fifth minute, but by halftime, the Ukrainians had taken the lead. Radionova scored from the penalty spot and Serbuk added another goal. In the second half, neither side managed to score, so the blue-and-yellow team won 2-1.

With three wins, the Ukrainians secured first place in their group, meaning they will participate in League A next spring. The draw for the second round of qualification will take place in December.

Teams finishing fourth in their groups in League A will continue to the second round of qualification in League B. The seeding for the second round will depend on where teams finish in their first-round groups. Seven teams from the second round of League A will join Lithuania in the final stage of Euro 2024.

In League B, 23 teams compete across six groups to qualify for promotion to League A. Group winners and runners-up with the best record against first and third-placed sides in their group will advance to a higher division. Lithuania also participates despite having direct qualification to the final stage as hosts.
