The final stage of the Ukrainian championship among veterans in the 55+ category, dedicated to the memory of Volodymyr Lozynskyi, took place in Kyiv.

This year, 23 teams from 15 regions of Ukraine participated in the competitions. After the zonal qualifying stages, the following teams advanced to the final stage: Windrose, "Rishelie", "Aborigen", "Agrobiznes" (Khmelnytskyi region), "Syraiy" (Chernihiv region) and "Spartak-Veteran" (Poltava).

The award ceremony was attended by the best footballer of the USSR in 1966, first vice-president of the AUF Andriy Biba, wife of Volodymyr Lozynskyi Olena, and vice-president of the AUF Petro Chilibe. Due to the performance of duties, the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and president of the Association of Football Veterans of Ukraine Oleh Sobuts'kyi was absent.
