Last year, 20 Ukrainian children's coaches within the cooperation between the Ukrainian Football Association and Manchester City Football Club underwent training at this club, which is famous for the quality of its Academy. Notably, graduates of Manchester City include contemporary stars such as Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, Jeremy Freimpong.

Therefore, the goal in UAF was to disseminate acquired knowledge and experience across various corners of Ukraine. For this purpose, a team for the Development Center of Football at UAF with children born in 2018-2019 has been created. In addition to regular goals typical of youth sports, this team also serves as an example and guidebook for schools and coaches who wish to follow innovations. Since the very beginning of their football journey, children at the Development Center of Football at UAF train according to the advanced knowledge of Manchester City's Academy. Coaches at the Development Center of Football at UAF, Serhiy Chebotayev, Serhiy Ychanskyi, and Yeugeniy Korosten, adapt the program to fit our realities, genetic code, and mentality.

After a year of work, the collective celebrated its first tournament success. In the Hostomel District Championship in Kyiv that took place from March to May, the team from the Development Center of Football at UAF secured third place out of ten teams. This achievement was welcomed at the House of Football. Although the result is not the main focus. At this age, coaches at the Development Center emphasize learning basic elements of play, training teamwork and developing physical and social skills.

Cooperation with Manchester City is part of a large-scale strategy by UAF aimed at developing young football players through modern methods. The main focus is on nurturing the child-athlete rather than the scoreboard.
