"Open Football Festivals" in Volyn Oblast

Young participants from Navizka, Topilenetska, Perspyvskaya, and Kryzhivska gymnasiums joined the festivals.

This was not just a football day—it was a day of movement, communication, new acquaintances, teamwork, and good spirits!

A special feature of the festival were "six squares," where children could try themselves in various activities: safety square, health square, technology and tactics square, active games square, psychologist's square, and coordination games square.

In addition to the sports component, participants had the opportunity to join activities with representatives of the Resilience Center, where they learned to work in a team, support each other, and develop emotional resilience.

A special and very important safety square was conducted by representatives of the State Emergency Service of Volyn Oblast.

Specialists who attended a seminar in Kyiv also participated in the "squares": Valeria Tkachenko, Dmytro Dmitruk, Mykola Varshava, Volodymyr Maystruk, as well as Oleh Katerinuk and Oleksandr Duliyuk.

The leader of the volunteers was Yevgeniya Yuzvyak, director of Rozhyshchenska DYSKh.

Special attention was given to children of military servicemen who also became participants in the festival.

The city mayor Viacheslav Polischuk was invited to give a welcoming speech and wished the participants inspiration, peace, and an abundance of positive emotions from the game!

The day turned out to be active, joyful, interesting, and truly childlike! Children played, moved around, got acquainted with each other, supported one another, and simply enjoyed sports.

The project is implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association within its donor program "Restoration and Resilience under Youth Leadership in Ukraine" with support from the Cross-Cultural Projects Association and organization CISU (Civil Society in Development) from Denmark.

The Ukrainian Football Association's project "Open Football Festivals" is:

— youth leadership and development of volunteering in communities;

— psychosocial support for children of military servicemen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons, and children who have suffered from war;

— an inclusive environment in which everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of safety in wartime;

— the philosophy of mass football—joy from playing instead of results at any cost;

— the first football experience for children.
