Today, April 8 in the English city of Burton upon Trent, Ukraine's WU-19 women's youth team concluded their participation in the second qualifying round for Euro 2025 in Group A.

On April 2, the Ukrainians were scheduled to start a mini-tournament with a match against Austria, but the game did not take place. The reason was that our team did not receive British visas in time despite completing all necessary procedures within the set deadlines and submitting documents on March 12. As a result, in their first group match, the blue-and-yellow team received a technical loss with a score of 0:3.

Unfortunately, after losing to Belgium (1:4), Ukraine's WU-19 squad lost its chances to finish higher than last place after two rounds and will drop down to Group B for the next cycle, Euro 2026.

The final match of the second qualifying round was played today in Burton upon Trent at St. George's Park between our team and England. Our side could not stand up to the hosts — 0:10.

Final Standings

In the second qualifying round, seven teams qualified to join Poland in the final stage of the European Championship for women's under-19 teams (June 15—27), while others were relegated from one league to another. Despite automatic qualification into the finals, Poland participated in the qualifiers. The seeding for the draw was determined by the positions that the teams held at the end of the first round.

In League A, 28 teams competed across seven groups, including seven teams that had risen from League B after the first round. Six group winners in League A and the best second-place finisher (since Poland finished first) earned spots in the finals. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start in League B for the next season.

In League B, 23 teams competed across six groups to earn promotion back to League A for the next round of qualifiers.
