In their previous tournament fixtures, the White and Blues had suffered defeats to Lazio (0:3), Hoffenheim (0:2), Roma (0:1), Ferencváros (0:4) and Viktoria Plzeň (1:2). Today, they faced Real Sociedad in San Sebastián.

The hosts dominated from the start, although Dynamo managed a few promising attacks. In the 19th minute, Popov fouled Oyarzabal in the penalty area. While Oyarzabal’s initial penalty was saved by Bushchan, he converted the rebound to open the scoring.

Bushchan made several crucial saves afterward, but Real Sociedad doubled their lead when Becker scored with a deflected shot from a tight angle. Oyarzabal then completed his brace with a precise strike into the near corner after skillfully navigating Dynamo’s defense.

Dynamo responded with a Guerrero shot on target, and moments later, Bushchan denied Kubo's attempt. Before halftime, the hosts missed several more chances.

In the second half, Real Sociedad tested Bushchan a few more times, but the scoreline remained unchanged at 3:0. With defeats in all six league phase matches, Dynamo has been eliminated from playoff contention.
