Ukraine women's beach soccer team defeats England in final match of Euroleague 2024 in Nazare

Today, the Ukraine women's beach soccer team played their third and final match in the 2024 Women's Euro Beach Soccer League stage held in Nazaré, Portugal.

In their opening match of the prestigious tournament, Yuriy Klymenko's team lost to Poland (1:3), followed by a penalty shootout victory over Portugal (1:1, 4:2 on penalties). The competition concluded with a match against England.

The first period saw the Ukrainian team dominate, scoring three unanswered goals against England. Anastasiya Terekh netted twice, while Yuliya Kostiuk added another to make it 3:0.

In the second 12-minute period, Anastasiya Klipachenko extended Ukraine's lead to four goals before England managed to slightly close the gap.

No goals were scored in the final period, and Ukraine secured a 4:1 victory. After Portugal's win over Poland (3:1), it was confirmed that Ukraine finished third in Group A.
