Ukraine women’s beach soccer team falls to Poland in Euroleague 2024 opener

Today, the Ukraine women's beach soccer team kicked off their 2024 Women's Euro Beach Soccer League campaign in Nazaré, Portugal.

In their opening match of the prestigious tournament, coached by Yuriy Klymenko, Ukraine faced Poland. The Polish team took the lead in the first period with a goal by Dagmara Suskiewicz in the 7th minute.

In the second period, Poland extended their lead when Dagmara Świt scored in the 16th minute. However, just two minutes later, Ukraine's Oleksandra Skybina narrowed the gap to 1:2.

The final period saw Justyna Matusiak seal the victory for Poland with a goal, ending the match 1:3 in favor of the Polish team.

Ukraine will play their next match against Portugal on August 31.
