The head coach of our team, Yuriy Klymenko, has announced the squad and outlined the goals for Ukraine in this prestigious tournament.

Ukraine Squad for Women's Euro Beach Soccer League 2024

Goalkeepers: Anastasiya Terekh, Oleksandra Kulyk.

Outfield players: Yuliya Kostyuk, Snizhana Volovenko, Anastasiya Klipachenko, Iryna Dubytska, Myroslava Vypasnyak, Oleksandra Skybina, Margaryta Yurasova, Ruslana Dyachuk, Yuliya Soldatenko, Mariya Benedik.

"In Nazaré, we will finally gather the whole team, and our task will be establishing a fighting lineup. We need to slightly improve some players' tactical and functional levels, as there were some issues in this regard during the last training sessions. In Portugal, we aim to refine our game, and in Alghero, our goal will be to win medals at Euroleague 2024. Of course, we understand that we have a half-renewed squad, but since the national team has only one top tournament this year, we need to set the highest goals and achieve them.

Regarding the squad, we have six newcomers: three from Cherkasy — Margaryta Yurasova, Ruslana Dyachuk, and Yuliya Soldatenko, a goalkeeper from Chernihiv, Oleksandra Kulyk, and two players from Kyiv — Mariya Benedik and Oleksandra Skybina. Despite the short preparation period, we are trying to do everything possible to establish mutual understanding between the debutants and the more experienced players, as we want to show a worthy performance in the Euroleague.

We were drawn into a tough group, as it's much stronger than Group B. But there's a good side to this — we'll be battling strong opponents. Poland is a dynamic and well-prepared team, England always imposes a physical battle and is very strong in aerial duels. And, of course, Portugal, the host of the tournament. They usually play very fast and attacking football. We are in for an exciting three matches.

On August 29th, we’ll have light exercises focusing on technique, and in the evening, we’ll prepare for 45 minutes on the main field, with an emphasis on tactics. On the 30th, it's time to fight," said Yuriy Klymenko.

Group B: Spain, Czechia, Netherlands, Switzerland.

Based on the points accumulated in this stage, the teams will be placed in groups for the 2024 Women's Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal in Alghero, Italy, which will take place from September 10th to 15th.
