On February 10th, in the city of Varysh, located in Rivne Oblast, another event was held within the framework of the FIFA TDS program aimed at searching for and developing young football talents. The initiative is implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association together with the Institute of Football of the UFA and NUFSU.

We remind you about the essence of the project. Primarily, children from rural areas and those not involved in organized football are invited to participate. Certain case tests conducted on modern equipment aim at identifying natural physical qualities such as speed, explosive power, agility, and coordination.

In total, 230 young talents underwent testing. Favorable weather conditions in the city did not allow for outdoor activities. However, the local organizing committee, having a well-developed sports infrastructure at its disposal, offered appropriate sports facilities where children could work comfortably.

One of the key tests — running 30 meters with time fixation at 10-, 20- and 30-meter marks, both without a ball and with a ball — was conducted in an indoor shooting range that also serves as shelter during air raid alerts. This test was carried out without pauses, which played its role in obtaining objective results. The "Illinois" tests, Smart goals, and long jumps were held in the local cultural palace's sports hall.

The event was attended by children from nine rural schools (total number — 120 people) and six city lyceums (approximately 110 people). It should be noted that all participants demonstrated excellent qualities, primarily discipline and focus on achieving the best results.

“Varysh is a sports city. And we do everything in our power to support every initiative aimed at realizing interesting sports projects,” — emphasized Varysh's mayor Oleksandr Menzul in his welcoming speech.

“Rivne Oblast has always been famous for its football achievements, which are the result of systematic work on organizing and holding such events for young football talents,” — added in turn the head of the Rivne Oblast Football Association Oleg Kucher.

All participants sincerely thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to work and implement projects for young football players.

All children received commemorative medals and certificates confirming their participation in the event, while representatives of educational institutions were given equipment sets and footballs for organizing and conducting training sessions with children.

However, as in any other region of Ukraine, this project will not be limited to testing. For representatives of Varysh Oblast Territorial Community who will develop the skills of young football players, a training course according to the D-license program of UFA will be held. A total of 13 people from the community will undergo training.

Systematic work within the framework of the FIFA TDS program implemented by UFA is intended to inspire representatives of the children's and youth football sector in their regions to develop young talents.
