A tournament of mini-football took place on the sports ground of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after the Heroes of Kрут to mark Ukraine's Armed Forces Day.

The tournament is a traditional event supported by the Ukrainian Association of Football. This year, three teams participated. The format involved matches between each team, with the winner determined based on points scored.

Based on the results of interesting matches, the hosts — the "Cossacks" team of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after the Heroes of Kрут — emerged victorious in both games. Second place went to the Ukrainian Air Force team, which defeated the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko University's team.

The Ukrainian Football Association has been a reliable partner for military personnel over many years and significantly strengthened its work in this area since the full-scale invasion by Russian forces began. Organizing such tournaments is just a small part of social projects we implement together with various branches of the armed forces and units. We pay special attention to supporting soldiers who have sustained injuries and are undergoing rehabilitation and recovery. We thank every serviceman for defending Ukraine and are grateful that you chose football as support for athletic form and fighting spirit” — noted Vadim Kostyuchenko, first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association, on the occasion of the football event.

According to him, the main goal of such competitions is to give military personnel an opportunity to briefly escape from the trials of today's war.

All participants received trophies and individual prizes based on the tournament results.
