To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 1, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and forty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, 82 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 71 air strikes, conducted 80 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Yesterday, the occupiers carried out another round of air strikes, using 19 Shahed-136/131 drones. Of these, 15 were destroyed. This day, aggressors attacked Ukraine with two guided missiles X-59 and 12 Shahed-136/131 drones. Air defense forces and means destroyed one guided missile X-59 and eight attack drones.

Air strikes hit Synykhivka, Petro-Pavlivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region; Toretsk, Novomikhailivka, Avdiivka in the Donetsk region; Tyagynka, Krynyky in the Kherson region.

Over 130 populated areas in Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, under support by aviation, the enemy carried out assault actions near Synykhivka, north-east of Petro-Pavlivka in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where our forces repelled seven attacks.

On the Lyman direction, our defenders repelled six enemy attacks around Serbianskyi Forest Farm in Luhansk region and Toretskyi in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out assault actions near Bogdanivka, Andriyivka and Klyschyivka in Donetsk region, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 24 attacks. Forces of Ukraine's defense continue offensive operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating on gained positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, under support by aviation, the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on occupiers. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the enemy near Stepovoie, Novokalynovoye, Avdiivka, Tonenkyi, Severnyi and Perevomaysk in Donetsk region, where our forces repelled 20 attacks.

On the Mariupol direction, under support by aviation, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions around Mariupol and Novomikhailivka in Donetsk region. Here our defenders repelled ten attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not carry out offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy eleven times unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions near Robotino in Zaporizhzhia region. Also, our soldiers repelled four attacks by occupiers west of Verbovka in Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, forces of Ukraine's defense continue conducting offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, conducting counter-battery fire and artillery strikes against enemy rear areas.

During the past day, aviation of forces of defense carried out 10 strikes in areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as one more — on an air defense missile system of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops struck six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, six air defense missile systems, two ammunition depots, one radar station and two stations for radio-electronic warfare of the enemy.
