To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 24, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-fifth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to kill the peaceful population of Ukraine and ignores the laws and customs of war, using a terrorist tactics, delivering strikes on both military and civilian objects.

Last night, the Russian Federation delivered another aerial strike with Iranian Shahed attack drones against Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified at present.

Over the past day, Russian occupiers carried out a missile strike on Ukrainian territory, using 17 cruise and two ballistic missiles. As a result of air defense forces' combat operations, nine cruise missiles were destroyed. In addition, the enemy delivered 39 aerial strikes and conducted 49 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population; residential buildings, religious structures, and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes on all of Ukraine's territory remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions. Heavy fighting is ongoing. Over the past day, 35 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polissya Directions, the operational situation — no significant changes. Signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected. Defined subunits of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky Directions, the enemy maintains a military presence. Delivered aerial strikes in Pavlivka and Stepanovka regions of Sumy Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of over 20 populated areas, including Timonovichi of Chernihiv Oblast; Seredina-Buda, Pokrovka, Ugroidi, Yunakivka of Sumy Oblast, and Udi, Kozacha Lopan', Budarky, Gatishe, Veterinarnoe of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk Direction, our soldiers steadfastly hold their defense. The enemy delivered an aerial strike in the area of Kucherivka, Kharkiv Oblast. Artillery and mortar shelling was suffered by Figolivka, Beresteve, Novomlyn'sk, Dvoriche, and Kislivka of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Tor'skyi, Donetsk Oblast. Delivered an aerial strike near Serbryanyy Les in Donets'k. Artillery shelling was suffered by populated areas of Novosel'ske and Bihorivka of Luhansk Oblast, as well as Torske, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene, Rozdolivka of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut Direction, under heavy artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in the areas of Bogdanivka, Klyshchevka and northeast of Orikhovo-Vasilivka of Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Bila Hora, Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Druzhba, and New York of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka Direction, under heavy air and artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in the areas of Avdiivka and Novel'ske. At the same time, the enemy shelled over 10 populated areas, including Avdiivka, Karlivka, Severne, and Novel'ske of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Direction, defensive forces continue to hold back Russian troops' advance in the areas of Krasnogorivka and Mariupol. The enemy shelled over 15 populated areas, including Krasnogorivka, Oleksandriopil', Katerynovka, Mariupol, and Victory of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Novomykhailovka and delivered aerial strikes near Blahodatne and Makarivka of Donetsk Oblast. Shelled over 15 populated areas, including Zolotaya Niva, Prechystyvka, Vodyane, Ugledar, Blagodatne of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson Directions, the enemy concentrates its main efforts to prevent further advance of our troops. Unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions in the area of Pryutnoye, Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Delivered aerial strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Orikhov, Novodanilivka of Zaporizhzhya Oblast and Antonivka of Kherson Oblast. Over 30 populated areas suffered from artillery shelling, including Novodoriyivka, Hulyaypole, Hulyaypol'ske, Novoandriyivka, Stebne of Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Illinka, Kam'yans'ke, Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Antonivka, Havrylivka, Novoberezov, Respublikanets', Kizomys of Kherson Oblast, the city of Kherson; as well as Yaselka and Ochakiv of Mykolaiv Oblast. At the same time, defensive forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdyansk Directions, consolidate at achieved positions, deliver artillery fire strikes against identified enemy targets, carry out counter-battery measures.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces delivered seven strikes in areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy over the past day. Also, our defenders destroyed four reconnaissance drones at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on one area of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy, six artillery systems on firing positions, one command post, one air defense system, and one radar station of the enemy over the past day.

Overall, during the past day, Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 660 Russian occupiers, burned down eleven tanks, thirteen armored combat vehicles, seventeen artillery systems, shot down one air defense system, five drones at the operational-tactical level, nine cruise missiles, destroyed ten cars and two units of special equipment.
