Note for Your Attention — Operational Information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 12, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and fiftieth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdyansk axes.

On the Bakhmut axis, our troops continue offensive actions north and south of the city of Bakhmut. On the axes of White Hill — Andriyivka and White Hill — Kurdomyvka they had some success, consolidating on the lines they have reached.

During the night of July 12, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from a north-eastern direction, specifically from Kursk with Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones.

A total of 15 drones were involved in the attack. Eleven of them were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of air command “Center” and “East.”

Over the past two days, aviation of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted almost 30 group aerial strikes on enemy rear areas, military equipment, positions, and concentrations of troops.

During the past day, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. A total of 28 drones were involved in the attack. As a result of successful combat operations, our air defense systems destroyed 26 strike UAVs. Also, our defenders destroyed five reconnaissance UAVs at the operational-tactical level.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 65 aerial strikes and conducted 71 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, in addition to damaged infrastructure, civilians were also affected.

The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes against all territories of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes. Intense battles are ongoing. During the day, 29 combat engagements took place.

On the Volyn and Polesie Axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of forming offensive groupings have been detected. Units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Northern and Slovozhensk Axes, the enemy maintains a military presence. During the past day, aerial strikes were carried out in the regions of Volynne of Sumy Oblast and Veterinarian of Kharkiv Oblast. More than 20 populated areas were subjected to mortar and artillery shelling. Among them are Karpovychi and Mykolaivka of Chernihiv Oblast; Sopich, Romashkove of Sumy Oblast, and Strilecha, Veterinarian, Stroyova, and Kozatsky Kozachok of Kharkiv.

On the Kupyansk Axis, our soldiers firmly hold their defense. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the regions of populated areas of Podolye, Kucherivka, and Kislyvka of Kharkiv Oblast. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was experienced by Krassne Pervye, Kamyanka, Dvorichna, Zapadnoe, Masutyvka, Kislyvka of Kharkiv Oblast, and Novoselovske of Luhansk.

On the Lyman Axis, during the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Veselye of Donetsk Oblast. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the regions of populated areas of Bihorivka and Nevske of Luhansk Oblast. Artillery shelling was experienced by Nevske, Bihorivka of Luhansk Oblast, and Rozdolovka, Torskoye, Verkhnyokamianskoe, and Veselye of Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut Axis, under intense air and artillery fire, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area of populated point Grigoriyevka and east of Orikhovo-Vasylivky. Over 15 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Oleksandr-Shultin, Vasyukivka, Hryhoriyivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Pivdenne, and Ivanivske of Donetsk.

On the Avdiivka Axis, forces of defense continue to hold back Russian troops in the areas of Avdiivka, Novomayskoye, and Nevelskoye. The enemy carried out aerial strikes near New York and city of Avdiivka. At the same time, occupiers conducted artillery shelling over 10 populated areas, including Avdiivka, Berdychi, Severne, and Nevelskoe of Donetsk.

On the Mariupol Axis, under enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all attacks in the regions of populated points Pobeda, Novomikhaylivka, and Mariinka. The enemy shelled over 15 populated areas, including Kostyantynivka, Mariinka, Pobeda, and Yelizavetovka of Donetsk.

On the Shakhtarsk Axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Blagodatne. The enemy carried out aerial strikes near Otradnoye, Storozhovo, Rivnopolye, and Makarivka. Enemy shelled over 15 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Blagodatne, Makarivka, and Prechistovka of Donetsk.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Axes, the enemy concentrates its main efforts to prevent further advancement of our troops. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the regions of populated points Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and Zolotaya Balka, Molodyzhne of Kherson Oblast. Conducted artillery shelling over 30 populated areas, including Hulyaypole, Hulyaypoliske, Zaliznychnoe, Poltavka, Olhivske of Zaporizhzhia; Kozatske, Lvovoye, Inzhenernoye, Tokaryvka of Kherson, as well as city of Kherson and Dniprovskoye, Dmitrivka, and Ivanivka of Mykolaiv. At the same time, forces of defense of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdyansk axes, consolidating on lines they have reached, conducting counter-battery measures.

In populated point Velika Lepetihy Kherson Oblast, Russian occupiers are trying to reduce the number of subscribers of Ukrainian telecom operators. Many cases of SIM card confiscation by Russian terrorists from local residents are being recorded. Sometimes occupants destroy SIM cards in front of their owners. Some confiscated SIM cards they take for themselves and use them to access mobile Internet. Additionally, with stolen numbers, Russian oppressors conduct propaganda messages distribution in open groups under the guise of locals.

Aviation of forces of defense inflicted 15 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as four — on enemy air defense systems over the day.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery during the day hit three command points, ten artillery means in firing positions, one anti-aircraft weapon, and one station REB of the enemy.

Overall, Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 510 Russian occupiers, destroyed one tank, seven armored combat vehicles, seventeen artillery systems, two MLRS, one air defense system, thirty-three UAVs at operational-tactical level, twelve cars and seven units of special equipment.
