President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that having a pro-Ukrainian position today means embracing democratic European values, while being pro-Russian — this is supporting military aggression and terrorism.

He stated this during a meeting with representatives of the media after talks with President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová in Bratislava.

"What does it mean to be pro-Ukrainian? It means being pro-European. You are today in Europe, you are an integral part of Europe — a peaceful and civilized one. What are pro-Russian views? Russians are aggressors who came to foreign lands, they attacked us, killed and kill people, rape and torture them. How can anyone adhere to such views? Every person has a choice. But if someone wants to check out Russia at the borders of their country, how much does such an inspection cost?" — Volodymyr Zelensky noted in response to journalists' questions.

The President of Ukraine suggested that people who share so-called pro-Russian views imagine a hydroelectric power station being blown up on their country's territory or the seizure and threat of blowing up an AES, cutting off a third of the country's electricity generation.

"Does anyone actually like this 'Russian roulette'? What is a pro-Russian position? Today it is a counter-terrorist stance. And that is wrong," — he insisted.

Volodymyr Zelensky also pointed out that he has never seen people from the US or European countries moving to live in Russia or switching from European cars to Soviet models.
