Note for Attention — Operational Information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 05.12.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred eighty-fifth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

During the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of the populated places Ploschanka and Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Beresteve, Bihorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bahmutskoe, Bahmut, Opitne, Klichyivka, Andriyivka, Mariinka, and Novomariinka in Donetsk Oblast.

During the past day, the enemy carried out seven missile strikes and 32 air raids, as well as over 50 shelling from multiple rocket launchers on our troops' positions and populated places along the line of contact.

There remains a threat of missile strikes against objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure across the entire territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions there have been no significant changes in the situation, signs of forming offensive groupings by the enemy were not detected.

The Republic of Belarus continues to support Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for missile and air strikes. Certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Northern Direction the enemy carried out mortar shelling of the populated places Sopich, Swarkove, and Zarutskie in Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction areas around the populated places Timofiyivka, Strilecha, Starytsia, Bugruvatka, Ogirceve, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Dvorichna, Tavilzhanok, and Bogdanivske in Kharkiv Oblast were shelled with artillery of various calibers from the enemy.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman Directions the enemy is on the defensive. Shelling with tanks and artillery was carried out against areas around the populated places Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabayevka, Krokhmalne, Beresteve, Vishnevye in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselyvskoye, Myasozharyvka, Makieyivka, Ploschanka in Luhansk Oblast and Yamopolivka and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka Directions occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive actions and trying to improve tactical positions. Areas around the populated places Soledar, Chasiv Yar, Bahmutskoe, Bahmut, Kostyantynivka, Klichyivka, Opitne, Kurdyumivka, Zalizne, Avdiivka, Perevomayske, Vodyane, Veselye, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka and Novomariinka in Donetsk Oblast were shelled with tanks, mortars, artillery.

On the Novopavlivskiy and Zaporizhzhya Directions the enemy is on the defensive. Areas around the populated places Novosilka, Neskyuchne, Zolotaya Niva, and Prichistivka in Donetsk Oblast and Novoandriyivka, Novodanilyvka, Zalizhchynskoye, Hulyaypole, Chervone, Dorozhnyanka in Zaporizhzhya Oblast were subjected to artillery fire.

On the Kherson Direction the enemy shelled with artillery areas around more than 20 populated places along the right bank of the Dnipro River. Russian occupiers do not cease terrorizing the civilian population of the city of Kherson.

According to available information, in Skadovskiy District of Kherson Oblast, the enemy has strengthened the administrative-police regime and introduced a curfew. Movement between populated places is prohibited around the clock, movement within populated places is allowed only during the day.

It was confirmed that Defense Forces hit an area where enemy forces were concentrated in Yakymivskiy District of Zaporizhzhya Oblast. The enemy's losses amount to up to 30 servicemen wounded and over 10 — killed.

Ukrainian aviation carried out 18 strikes during the past day against areas where personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated as well as one strike against enemy air defense positions.

At the same time, our soldiers shot down an enemy Ka-52 helicopter and four UAVs of the occupiers.

Units of rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit two command points, ammunition depot, area where personnel were concentrated as well as one other important target of the enemy.
