President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters and preparations for a possible participation of Ukraine in the G20 summit.
"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
Today started very early with a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters. We thoroughly analyzed the situation on the front line. South, east... Very carefully — Donbas.
Right now in Donetsk there is the greatest resistance, it is very important as much is decided there. Any losses there are losses for the entire country. Therefore, we stand firm. We stand strong. We do not give up anything. I thank every hero of ours who holds back these terrible attacks by the occupiers. Continuous attacks.
The south. We are gradually advancing, reinforcing positions step by step.
There is a lot of good news in the information space today and it's clear why. But our emotions must be restrained — always during war.
I will not feed the enemy with all the details of our operations, whether it's in the south or east or anywhere else. When we have results, everyone will see them. Definitely.
Maybe this sounds different from what some expect now. Maybe different from what is reported in the news. But one must understand: no one just gives up if they feel their strength. The enemy does not make us gifts or 'acts of goodwill'. We choose all this. And when you choose, you have to understand that every step is always a confrontation with the enemy, it's always a loss of lives of our heroes.
Therefore, we move very carefully, without emotions, without unnecessary risk. In the interest of liberating all our land and minimizing losses. This is how we will ensure the liberation of Kherson, Kakhovka, Donetsk, other cities.
But this will be a result of our efforts, our defensive operations — those that are ongoing now, those that we plan.
And I want to warn again separately everyone in Moscow who makes decisions: any attempt by you to sabotage the Kakhovska HES and flood our territory and de-water the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant will mean declaring war on the entire world. Think about what will happen to you then.
We also discussed at the Headquarters the supply and production of weapons — our weapons, — repair of equipment, strengthening of our anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, which is ongoing, restoration of critical infrastructure, primarily energy, after Russian terrorist attacks.
As of this evening, stabilization restrictions on electricity supply are in 15 regions and the city of Kyiv. There are no emergency disconnections.
Wherever there is a power outage, it should happen according to published schedules. Please report to local authorities and representatives of the energy company serving your area if your building or street is disconnected today not according to schedule. They must correct the situation and adhere to the schedule.
I spoke with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte today, just about restoring our energy, protecting Ukrainian skies. Thank you for being ready to help!
We separately discussed the export grain initiative, the fundamental need to extend and expand our grain exports. We agreed on closer cooperation to support Ukrainian initiatives at the UN.
Tomorrow will be a very active negotiation day — many contacts are planned.
These days we are completing our preparations for a possible participation of Ukraine in next week's G20 summit. The Ukrainian position is formed. As always, our position will reflect global security interests.
In the evening I signed another decree awarding our servicemen. 106 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were honored with state awards.
And one more thing — very important.
Today we celebrate Ukrainian Literature and Language Day and All-Ukrainian Day of Culture Workers and Masters of Folk Art. The National Unity Dictation also took place. I thank everyone who participated in writing the dictation, it is an important annual tradition.
And you know... I want to greet today not only those who teach language and literature, work in culture and preserve folk art. I want to greet all our people. Ukraine has stood its ground. Ukraine is defending itself. And will definitely defend.
This is no longer a question — whether there is Ukraine and everything Ukrainian. Ukraine exists. Ukraine will be.
And our enemies will perish — they will perish, like dew on the sun. Or like Russian crossings under strikes of «HIMARS»s.
Glory to Ukraine!"
