President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about Russia's blackmail actions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Council.

And all Europeans whose lives are already under threat from Russian terror.

Russia does not stop its blackmail actions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and around it. Provocative shelling of the territory of the NPP continues. Under the pretext of the plant, occupiers shell cities and communities nearby. Directly on the objects of the power station, Russian military hide ammunition and equipment. De facto, the station is being used as a cover.

All this clearly shows that Russia is disregarding security demands from 42 countries, including the European Union's member states and 15 others — Turkey, Georgia, Britain, Korea, Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United States of America.

If a state-terrorist allows itself to completely ignore international community demands, especially in such a sensitive issue, this unequivocally calls for immediate action.

Any radiation incident at the Zaporizhzhia NPP could hit not only European Union countries but also Turkey and Georgia, as well as countries from more distant regions. It all depends on wind direction and strength. If a catastrophe happens due to Russia's actions, consequences may affect those who are still silent.

This issue has already been raised at the highest international level — the UN and IAEA. Of course, Russian nuclear blackmail is being discussed among countries as well. There is a statement from the "G7" foreign ministers. They clearly understand that Russia is responsible for this nuclear crisis.

But it's time to move from discussions and appeals to new harsh sanctions against Russia, against 'Rosatom' and its entire nuclear industry. All Russian forces must immediately withdraw from the station territory and surrounding areas without any conditions.

The world has fought for proper control over all actions with nuclear materials and radiation safety for many decades. And if now the world lacks the strength and resolve to protect one nuclear power plant, it means that the world is losing. Losing to terrorists. Yielding to nuclear blackmail. This could be a precedent seen by other terrorists. There's still a chance not to let this loss happen.

I held today's meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Council. The main item on the agenda — a thorough analysis of the military-strategic situation. Reports were given by the head of Main Intelligence Directorate Budanov and the head of Foreign Intelligence Service Litvinenko. A separate report was made by the commander of Special Operations Forces Khorenko. Of course, there were Zaluzhnyi, Shaptała, Monastyrs'kyi, Danilov, Yermak, Reznikov.

Also discussed (what can be talked about publicly) issues of supplying our troops with weapons and ammunition and the status of implementing previous decisions by the Council — all must be carried out at 100%, responsibility for this is personal.

Today there was also quite a productive meeting of Ukraine's Supreme Council. Among other things, deputies voted in favor of two members of the High Judicial Council.

Continuing to establish relations at the highest level with African countries. Today I spoke with the President of Niger — until today there were no contacts on this level between our countries. Thanked for support at the UN. Of course, we discussed key global security threats.

Held a meeting regarding the preparation of the Crimean Platform. Expecting an expansion in geography, level and number of participants. Today the Advisory Council on de-occupation of Crimea was created — to coordinate all activities and projects in this direction and ensure the work of the Crimean Platform.

Met with ambassadors of our state charity platform UNITED24 Andriy Shevchenko and actor Liev Schreiber. Discussed how we can keep maximum global attention on our defense needs. This task is becoming more important every week.

Russia has created so many crises, including the cost of life crisis in many countries, as well as food and energy crises spreading uncertainty and frustration around the world. We need to keep the focus of global attention on the root cause of these crises — Russian aggression. And we must remind that Ukraine is the one suffering most from Russian terror.

The situation on the front line over the past day has not seen significant changes. Heroic resistance by our military continues in Donbas, Kharkiv region. We are pressing the enemy in southern parts of our country.

I want to especially thank today all our artillerymen, our scouts, Security Service of Ukraine and everyone else who ensures the continuous destruction of occupiers' command posts and their ammunition depots. All Russian terrorists must know that every meter of Ukrainian land for them is absolute danger. No matter how they try to hide. Wherever it may be. They will be found and destroyed.
