Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 16, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred seventy-fourth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

Aircraft and missile strikes continue on civilian objects within the territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions there are no significant changes in the situation. Training exercises with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are being conducted. The threat remains that the enemy will launch missile and air strikes from this territory.

On the Northern Direction the enemy continues to deploy units of the Russian Federation's armed forces in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions with the aim of restraining the actions of defense force units. The enemy shelled the areas around Kamianka Sloboda, Chernihiv region, and Khodinka, Sumy region, with artillery.

On the Kharkiv Direction the enemy used field and rocket artillery to impact near Kostiantynivka, Rtišchevka, Sosnovka, Pitomnik, and Ruski Tishky.

On the Slovyansk Direction there was fire impact near Grushevaha and Verhopillya. Enemy units are taking measures to improve logistical support on this front.

On the Kramatorsk Direction the enemy continued shelling of various types around Kramatorsk, Sperne, and Ivan-Daryivka with artillery.

The advance towards the Lisichansk oil refinery — Ivan-Daryivka is ongoing, combat operations continue.

On the Bakhmut Direction the enemy shelled areas around Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoie, Soltar, Shumi, Bilohirivka, Kostiantynivka, Yakovlivka, and Zaytseve with tanks, field artillery, and rocket artillery.

Enemy units are conducting offensive and assault operations towards Volodymyrivka — Bakhmutskoie and Stropivka — Soltar. Ukrainian forces stopped and pushed back the occupiers. Combat operations continue in the directions of Pokrovskoie — Bakhmutskoie and Gorlivka — Zalizne.

On the Avdiivka Direction the enemy shelled areas around Krasnogorivka, Spartak, and Nevel'skoye with field artillery. The advance towards Staromikhailovka — Nevel'ske is ongoing, combat operations continue.

On the Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia Directions there were shelling from tanks, field, and rocket artillery around Novosyolky, Vuhledar, Velika Novosyolka, Novomykhailivka, Novopol', Pavlivka, Novoandriyivka, Privil'ne, and Veremivka.

The occupiers are conducting offensive and assault operations towards Solodka — Novomykhailivka with partial success. Combat operations continue.

On the South Buzhok Direction in addition to shelling from tanks and artillery along the line of contact, enemy army and strike aviation are being used near Bila Krinitsa, Andriyivka, and Luhanske.

The attempt to improve tactical positioning through assault operations towards Zelenyi Hai — Novogrigorivka ended for the enemy with significant losses and retreat.

Two carriers of sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr" are in readiness for high-precision weapon use.

Our destructive aviation patrols the airspace of Ukraine, while strike aviation provides effective fire support to troops in designated operational areas. Rocket-artillery units continue systematically destroying enemy concentrations of manpower and ammunition supplies.
