Today, the Ukraine women's beach soccer team played their third-place match at the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2024, concluding in Saudi Arabia.

In their group-stage matches, Ukraine's team, coached by Yuriy Klymenko, suffered a 1:6 loss to Spain in the opening match, then defeated England 4:2, before narrowly losing to Brazil 4:5 in a tense contest. This left Ukraine in third place in the group, earning them a rematch with England for the final third-place spot.

In the first period, the game was fast-paced, with five goals scored — Ukraine led 3:2. Myroslava Vypasnyak, Oleksandra Skybina, and Iryna Bavzenyuk all found the net for Ukraine.

The second period saw England equalize when Alicia Beckingham converted a penalty in the 20th minute, making it 3:3.

In the third period, both teams exchanged long-range goals from Terekh and Beckingham. Terekh then scored the winning goal from a distance in the 34th minute, giving Ukraine a 5Ж4 victory.

Thus, Ukraine secured third place in the tournament. Later today, Spain and Brazil will face off in the final to determine the winner of the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2024.
