The match began strongly for Ukraine, with an own goal by Dani Barbosa followed by a strike from Yuliya Kostyuk, giving Ukraine a 2:0 lead. Brazil responded late in the first period, with Lele Lopes reducing the deficit to 2:1.

The second period was the opposite of the first. Brazil scored twice to take the lead, but Anastasiya Terekh leveled the score to 3:3 near the end of the period.

In the final period, Oleksandra Skybina briefly restored Ukraine's lead, but two more goals from Dani Barbosa secured a 5:4 victory for Brazil. With this result, Ukraine will face England in the third-place match, while Spain and Brazil will battle in the final.
