"League of the Strong": UAF launches social project to develop amputee football in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Football Association presents a new social project called League of the Strong. It has been launched to involve individuals with amputations or impairments in one of their limbs in the beloved game of millions — football.
The project aims not only to integrate new players into football but also to build an active amputee football community and promote amputee football as a distinct sport.

"There are over 100,000 people with limb amputations in Ukraine, and our task is to create conditions for their rehabilitation and engage them in sports. Football has a unique power to assist in physical and emotional recovery. I am confident that the League of the Strong will succeed in its mission to develop amputee football in Ukraine," emphasized UAF President Andriy Shevchenko, highlighting the importance and uniqueness of the project.

Football for Everyone
Football is the most popular sport in Ukraine. It is a game without borders that unites people in schoolyards, backyards, and even at military positions during moments of rest.
The League of the Strong has an ambitious mission — to make football accessible to everyone, regardless of physical limitations. Following the example of amputee football, which involves players with amputations or impairments, the UAF aims to open new opportunities for all who wish to participate.
