On the sidelines of the 48th UEFA Congress, which took place in Paris on February 8, President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko held a series of working meetings with foreign partners.

First, the head of Ukrainian football and General Secretary of the UFA Igor Gryshchenko discussed cooperation issues with delegations from Germany and Italy.

"We met with delegations from Germany and Italy. We discussed the possibility of studying their experience in preparing and training coaches and organizing summer football camps for Ukrainian children," — wrote Andriy Shevchenko on his Facebook page.

Next was a meeting with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

"During the meeting with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, we discussed the next steps of the new UFA leadership and the impossibility of Russian teams returning to international competitions,— said the president of the UFA. — I received congratulations from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Each such meeting is an opportunity to remind the world about Ukraine."

Mr. Infantino confirmed FIFA's support for the development of Ukrainian football "on and off the pitch." In particular, we discussed cooperation with the FIFA Foundation and participation in programs aimed at developing young players."

The busy program of the Ukrainian delegation at the UEFA Congress concluded with meetings with colleagues from France and Croatia.

"During meetings with French and Croatian delegations, I had the opportunity to thank them for their support for Ukrainians and agreed on joint projects for football development."

President of the Croatian Football Federation Marijan Kustić noted the talent of Ukrainians in football and emphasized the important role of football in supporting society during difficult times. Croatia faced similar challenges during its war for independence in the 1990s, but managed to bring back talented youth and achieve impressive results in football," — commented on this meeting Andriy Shevchenko.
