To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 9, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The five hundred and first day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the past day, Russian occupiers carried out another air raid on Ukrainian territory, using surface-to-air missiles from S-300 systems and Iranian Shahed drones. As a result of the combat operations of Ukraine's Air Defense Forces, five of these strike drones were destroyed.

Some of the strike drones hit industrial facilities and infrastructure objects in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions.

The enemy also carried out 52 air strikes, conducted nearly 60 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers. In particular, as a result of the Russian military's shelling of Lyman, eight civilians were killed and thirteen injured.

The likelihood of missile and aerial attacks on all of Ukraine's territory remains high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions — over 30 combat engagements took place during the day.

On the Volyn and Polissya Directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Sloboda Directions, the enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Vovkivka, Sumy region, and Mylevka and Veterinary, Kharkiv region. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 30 populated places, including Karpovychi, Gremyach, Chernihiv region; Myropillya, Znoba-Novgorodskoye, Bilyopyllya, Sumy region and Graniv, Hativshche, Vovchansky, Varvarivka, Tsegelne in Kharkiv.

On the Kupiansk Direction, the enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Kislivka, Kharkiv region and Novoyegorovka — Luhansk. Attempted to advance in the areas of Berestevo, Novoselivskiy and Steblyakhivka, Luhansk region. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, repelling all enemy attacks. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy were suffered by Figolivka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kislivka, Kamyanka in Kharkiv.

On the Lysychansk Direction, during the day the enemy carried out assault operations and attempted to drive our troops from occupied positions near Veseloye, Donetsk region, without success. Carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Novolyubivka, Nevskiy, Bihorivka, Luhansk region and Dibrov, Spirnyy and Ivanivka, Donetsk region. Artillery shelling was suffered by more than 15 populated places, including Nevske, Bihorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamyanske, Rozdolyvka, Veseloye on Donets.

On the Bakhmut Direction, the enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of populated places Ivanivske, Druzhkivka, White Hill, Friendship. More than 15 populated places suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Marokove, Bogdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske Donetsk region.

On the Avdiyivka Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Novokalynovoye, Stepovoye, Pervomayskoye and Nevelskoye Donetsk region. Carried out aerial strikes near Avdiyivka and Severnyy. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 15 populated places, including Keramik, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske and Semenivka Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol Direction, under enemy artillery fire our defenders repelled all attacks in the area of Mariinka city. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Krasnogorivka and Novomykhailovka Donetsk region. Shelled populated places Nevelskoye, Georgiyivka, Elizavetivka, Krasnogorivka, Oleksandriopil, Mariinka, Pobeda and Katerynovka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Blagodatne, Donetsk region. Carried out aerial strikes near Blagodatne and Rivnopolie, Donetsk region. Shelled more than 15 populated places, including Novomykhailovka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolotaya Niva and Shakhtarske Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson Directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our troops. Carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Kozatsky, Kherson region and Orikhov, Zaporizhzhya region. Shelled more than 20 populated places, including Novodarivka, Levadne, Maliyivka, Hulaypole, Zaporizhzhya region; Gavrilivka, Antonivka, Zolotaya Balka, Kherson and Ivanivka, Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region. At the same time, Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidate on achieved lines, carry out counter-battery measures.

The aviation of Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out seven strikes in areas where enemy personnel are concentrated during the past day. Our defenders also destroyed ten reconnaissance drones at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on eleven artillery systems, one ammunition depot, three air defense systems, and two radio-electronic combat stations of the enemy over the past day.

Overall, Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 600 Russian occupiers, destroyed four tanks, eleven armored fighting vehicles, twenty artillery systems, seven MLRS, three air defense systems, nineteen drones at the operational-tactical level, fifteen vehicles and nine units of special equipment.
