In the final of the beach soccer tournament held in Tarnów, Poland, Ukraine's blue-and-yellow team only lost to Spain, who are the world leaders in BSWW rankings (2-2, on penalties - 3:5), and secured silver medals.

The Ukrainian team was greeted with a ceremony at the capital's railway station. The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, President of the National Olympic Committee Vadim Gutzeit, and First Vice-President of the Football Association of Ukraine Anatoliy Demianenko came to welcome the footballers and coaching staff for their successful performance and status as vice-champions of the III European Games.

“This is undoubtedly a great achievement for our girls and the large family of national teams of the UAF! Spain, Italy, Portugal — these are all top European teams that occupy the highest positions in beach soccer. And despite this, our team demonstrated an unbreakable character and willpower characteristic of the entire Ukrainian people”, — said Anatoliy Demianenko during the meeting with the team.

As a reminder, in the group stage, our national team defeated Italy (2-1) and lost to Spain (4-6), while in the semifinals they beat Portugal (3-1).
