Oleh Shaitanov's wards have started preparing for the final tournament on March 8th in Portugal. A day before Euro-2023, blue-and-yellow played two friendlies against Portuguese teams in the city of Rio Maior. In the first match, our team conceded — 0:7, in the second one — 1:6.

The Ukrainian women worked in a double training mode, with a total of 10 trainings and several theoretical sessions planned. Until March 15th, blue-and-yellow continued preparing for the final part of Euro-2023 in Portugal, after which they headed to Debrecen.

The final four matches will take place at the "Phoenix Arena". On January 24th, there was a draw, according to which our opponents in the semifinals are Hungary. The match is scheduled for today (kickoff at 8:30 PM Kyiv time), with direct broadcast planned on the Suspilne: Sport platform.

"Our last official matches against Hungary were quite challenging. We won a game for third place in the previous Euro with a score of 2:1. Also, I can mention that our match in the main round of Euro-2019 ended in a draw — 4:4. There are no easy games with future opponents, so we're preparing for a tough test," — head coach Oleh Shaitanov noted before the game.

On Friday, the semifinal will take place, and we will only strive for victory. This will be a new story. We will give all our strength to demonstrate our best qualities and achieve the necessary result," — captain of Ukraine's women's team Yulia Forsyuk said ahead of the game.
