On March 8, the friendly tournament of the Ukrainian women's national team started in Portugal. Ahead of Euro-2023, the blue and yellow team planned two friendlies against the Portuguese in the city of Rio Maior. Both teams are preparing for the final four, but they will face different opponents in the semifinals.
The first friendly match on March 10 ended with our girls losing — 0:7. Today, they also lost by a large margin, although not without scoring — near the end of the game, Anna Shulga scored an unexpected goal from distance against the host goalkeeper Catarina.
Despite this, the friendly matches with the European vice-champions were very beneficial for Oleg Shaytanov's wards.

One of the tournament participants will be the Ukrainian national team. Also, Spain, Portugal and Hungary have qualified for the final tournament. On January 24 in Debrecen, the draw took place, according to which the Ukrainians' semifinal opponents are the Hungarians.

In the main round of the European Championship qualifier for women's futsal, which took place in Poznan, Poland, our blue and yellow team managed to secure first place in their group. In the first game, Ukraine defeated the Netherlands (5:2), in the second — beat Croatia (5:1), and concluded the mini-tournament with a draw against Poland (1:1). In summary, our team qualified for continental glory for the third time in history.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian women's national futsal team became bronze medalists at the final tournament of Euro-2022, which took place from July 1 to 3 in Portugal.
