The Ukrainian amputee football team, which is preparing for the WAFF 2026 World Championship, has seen a change. Yuriy Haponchuk will join the "blue and yellow" squad and replace Denis Volynets, who will not be able to travel with the team to Mexico.

The WAFF World Championship will take place from November 13 to 22 in San Juan de los Lagos (Mexico). In the group stage, Ukraine's team is in Group C and faces Brazil, Japan, and Germany. A total of 24 national teams will compete for the title of world champion.
