The Ukraine cyber football team completed their performance in the UEFA eEURO 2026 qualification tournament

From October 17-18, the qualification for the UEFA eEURO 2026 European Championship in EA FC 27 took place. A total of 46 national teams participated.

Qualification format:

  1. Swiss system group stage.
  2. Double Elimination playoffs.

Sixteen teams advanced to the playoff stage. To successfully advance from the group stage, a team needed to secure four wins with any score. A team was eliminated after three losses.

In the first round, Ukraine's representative faced an Italian player – losing 1:10.

In the second round, we played against Armenia's team – winning 6:5.

In the third round, our opponent was a player from Kazakhstan – losing 4:8.

Starting with the fourth round, every match for us became a must-win game since we already had two losses.

In the fourth round, fate drew us against our main rival – Serbia's team. We won 1:0.

In the fifth round, Ukraine faced Hungary. Unfortunately, we lost 2:6.

Thus, after five rounds of play, Ukraine concluded its qualification for the European Championship in 30th place overall.

It's worth noting that representing Ukraine was Marco "Markinio" Butrin, who secured fourth place in the national selection to the team, which took place in July. He replaced winner Alexander "Zzakki" Slipchu, who could not play due to personal circumstances.
