Today marks the start of a new season in the Ukrainian Premier League. The Football Association of Ukraine congratulates clubs, players, coaching staff, referees, and fans on the beginning of the competition and reminds all participants in the football process of the necessity to strictly adhere to the Code of Honesty in Play.

The principles of honest play, integrity, and respect for opponents are the foundation of sports competition. Adherence to these principles is mandatory for everyone involved in organizing and conducting matches. The full text of the Code of Honesty in Play can be reviewed here.

Prior to the start of the season, the Ethics and Honesty Committee of the Football Association of Ukraine held lectures for referees and observers from the Premier League, First and Second Leagues of the Professional Football League, as well as the U-19 League. Participants were informed about ethical behavior requirements and integrity in the upcoming season.

Special attention was given during the lectures to the behavior of coaching staff during matches and the inevitability of punishment for violations. It was also emphasized that any form of betting on football matches is strictly prohibited, as well as obtaining undue advantage.

The Football Association of Ukraine calls on all football stakeholders to take responsibility for established requirements and work together to establish principles of honest play in Ukrainian football.
