A seminar of the "Talenticos" project took place in Berdychiv — an initiative of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA) that is being implemented with support from the UAF Foundation. The event was attended by 45 parents and coaches working in children's football. This is already the 10th Ukrainian city to host one of the largest youth projects of the UFA.

"Talenticos" is an ecosystem of modern football that combines sports, entertainment, technology and education. The project was created to help young players develop their potential in a comfortable environment, while the adults around them — parents and coaches — better understand their role in this process.

The main topic of the seminar was the role of adults in shaping young football players. Participants discussed how a child's achievements in sports are not only formed during training but also through the environment created by family and coach.

Seminar Topics

The educational program covered two areas:

• "Parents as Partners in Development." Participants examined how family influences a child's sports journey — from daily support to reactions to failures and cooperation with the coach.
• "Managers as the Foundation of an Environment for Child Development." This referred to the importance of organizational work in creating conditions for effective interaction between coaches, parents, and children.

In addition to lectures, the seminar included networking: participants exchanged experiences and established professional contacts.

Project Format

The seminar is the first part of a two-day event. The second day features a football festival for children during which approaches discussed at the seminar are applied in practice.

"Talenticos" takes place in various cities across Ukraine. The goal of the project is to create an environment where parents, coaches and managers work together to develop young football players.
