Kateryna Monzul: "The referee should help the game open up." How the National Football Referees School works
In the Oleksandrivska community of Kropyvnytskyi district, Kirovohrad region, an "Open Football Festival" took place—a bright sporting event for children.
The festival was held within the framework of a large-scale nationwide project by the Ukrainian Football Association called "Open Football Festivals," whose main goal is to engage children in an active lifestyle, promote football, develop teamwork, friendship, and mutual support.
This was not just a football event. The festival combined sports, lively games, team tasks, psychological support, and important safety knowledge, which is especially relevant for children in today's conditions.
Seventy-two children from different villages of the Oleksandrivska community participated in the festival. Young participants had the opportunity to spend an active day together, communicate, compete, showcase their sports skills, and experience true team spirit.
Six thematic locations formed the basis of the festival. All participants were divided into teams and sequentially visited each location, completing various tasks.
At sports locations, children performed football exercises, relay races, lively games, and team tasks. Participants demonstrated agility, speed, coordination of movements, and the ability to work in a team.
The psychological location was aimed at emotional unloading, relieving tension, developing positive interaction among children, and supporting their psychoemotional state. Participants completed interesting exercises and tasks that helped them better understand their emotions and support each other.
The safety location, organized by a DSNSS employee, was dedicated to important rules of behavior in emergency situations. Children were reminded about mine safety rules, behavior during air raid sirens, and actions in case of dangerous situations.
It is particularly pleasant that within the framework of implementing the project, sports equipment provided by UAF was also transferred to educational institutions in the Oleksandrivska community that joined the organization and participation in "Open Football Festivals."
Such support is important for the development of children's and school sports because it creates additional opportunities for physical activity, popularizing football, and an active lifestyle among children in different villages of the community.
We remind you that the project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association within the framework of the donor program "Restoration and Resilience under Youth Leadership in Ukraine" with the support of the Cross-Cultural Projects Association and organization CISU (Civil Society in Development) from Denmark.
The Ukrainian Football Association project "Open Football Festivals" is:
— youth leadership and volunteer development in communities;
— psychological support for children of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons, and children who have suffered from war;
— an inclusive environment in which everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;
— knowledge of safety in wartime;
— the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;
— the first football experience for children.

Given the context of the sentence and the instruction to keep placeholders verbatim, "__NAME__1__" is maintained as instructed.
