"Open Football Festivals" in Vinnytsia Oblast

In Vinnytsia Oblast, large-scale social and children's projects of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAFF) are regularly held, including "Open Football Festival" events aimed at developing children's sports, providing psychological support, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

"Open Football Festivals" in Vinnytsia Oblast

This season, the Vinnytsia Oblast Football Association is implementing this project in three territorial communities of Tulchyn district — Tomashpilska, Vapnyarka, and Kryzhopil.

Coaches Yevhen Shkurok, Ivan Mazur, and Serhiy Dyky have completed the training courses for conducting this project and have already started working in the communities.

The events will take place over several stages throughout the year (including spring and autumn seasons).

On September 22 in Tomashpil, an official opening ceremony took place with participants aged from 7 to 12 years old.

Since large-scale sports events are rare in rural communities, this project will help schoolchildren become part of a friendly football family.

Welcoming speeches were given by the head of Tomashpilska City Council Valeriy Nemirovskyi, manager of Vinnytsia OAF Viktoriya Smytanuk, and deputy head of Tulchyn District State Administration Serhiy Chepernatyi. Guests noted how important it is today to develop sports, support youth, and provide children with a safe and friendly environment.

At the football relays, schoolchildren honed their agility, speed, and ability to skillfully handle the ball.

Organizers paid attention to the basics of life safety and a healthy lifestyle.

A psychological block focused on reducing stress levels was conducted by specialists from Tomashpilska Community's Resilience Center.

Participants received commemorative diplomas from the Ukrainian Football Association and bright impressions.

The project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association within its donor program "Restoration and Resilience under Youth Leadership in Ukraine" with support from the Cross-Cultural Projects Association and organization CISU ("Civil Society in Development") from Denmark.

The Ukrainian Football Association's "Open Football Festivals" project is:

— youth leadership and community volunteering development;

— psychosocial support for children of military servicemen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons, and those affected by war;

— an inclusive environment where everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of safety in wartime conditions;

— the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;

— the first football experience for children.
