UAF KDC Decision on the Suspension of SK "Poltava" Oleh Veremiyenko Accompanied by Additional Clarifications

The UAF KDC suspended Oleh Veremiyenko from participation in matches for a period of 6 (six) months due to serious game misconduct involving the use of excessive force and resulting in severe injury to an opponent requiring surgical intervention with an estimated rehabilitation period of 6–9 months.

In determining the type and amount of sanctions, consideration was given to the nature and manner of the misconduct, the high level of danger posed by the game action, the intensity of contact, the use of excessive force, as well as the actual consequences for the health of the opponent.

At the same time, the severity of the injury was not considered as a sole and independent basis for determining the suspension period. It was evaluated in conjunction with the nature of the game misconduct itself, the level of risk created for the health of the opponent, other aggravating and mitigating circumstances, and the principle of proportionality of disciplinary responsibility.
