"Open Football Festivals" in Kharkiv Oblast

Within the framework of the Ukrainian Football Association's "Open Football Festivals" project, with the support of the Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Football Association Oleg Syniehubov, children from the city of Lubotin actively participated in a colorful sporting event.

"Open Football Festivals" in Kharkiv Oblast

This was a true festival of movement, good mood, and children's joy. Young participants enthusiastically joined fun football games and relay races where everyone could show their agility, speed, accuracy, and ability to work as part of a team.

On this day, the square was filled with a special atmosphere — genuine laughter echoed, positive emotions were in abundance, and ordinary play turned into a small celebration. There were no winners or losers here — there were children who played together, supported each other, got to know one another, and simply enjoyed active rest.

The event participants were greeted by the deputy mayor Vyacheslav Ruban, head of the Lyubotin District Education Department Tetiana Zhmailova, a member of the Lyubotin City Council and director of the lyceum Roman Zagnoiko, who wished the children good mood, joy from movement, and new bright impressions.

A pleasant gift for young participants was sports equipment from the Ukrainian Football Association, which will be used during further classes and active games.

The festival was implemented within the framework of the Ukrainian Football Association's donor program "Restoration and Resilience under Youth Leadership in Ukraine" supported by the Association for Cross-Cultural Projects and organization CISU (Civil Society in Development) from Denmark.

Ukrainian Football Association's project "Open Football Festivals" is:

— youth leadership and development of volunteering in communities;

— psychosocial support for children of military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons, and children affected by war;

— an inclusive environment where everyone participates regardless of abilities and gender, including children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of safety in wartime;

— the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;

— the first football experience for children.
