Training of the national team, at the invitation of President of the UAF Andriy Shevchenko, was visited by ten-year-old Artem, who was injured during a terrorist attack in Kyiv on April 18, 2026.

Back then, the boy demonstrated true courage, calling out to police: "Don't rescue me, help my father." These words touched millions of Ukrainians.

Now Artem is recovering and dreams of returning to football sooner, as he cannot imagine life without it. So his first training session took place near the national team of Ukraine. He managed to talk with the players, meet the head coach Andrea Maldini, and spend a lot of time with his idol — Andriy Shevchenko.

The players and staff organized a tribute corridor for Artem, gifted him a national team jersey with autographs, and Andriy Shevchenko invited the boy along with his mother and sister to watch a match of Ukraine's national team in the fall.
