Today, September 28 in Chisinau, the final tournament of Euro-2025 (U-19) in futsal starts. The Ukrainian youth national team will play its first match against Moldova.

We remind you that the Ukrainian youth national team U-19 in futsal, having successfully participated in the main round of qualification for Euro-2025, qualified for one of four European championships.

Within Group 5 of the main round of qualification for Euro-2025 (U-19), whose matches were held in the Serbian city of Vrnjačka Banja, the blue-and-yellow team confidently defeated Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), and in the decisive match narrowly beat the hosts (1:0). Thus, the Ukrainians secured first place in their group and qualified for the European Championship. 

Before Euro-2025, the blue-and-yellow team played two friendlies against Spanish counterparts and exchanged victories (1:3, 3:2).

On September 19 and 21, the Ukrainian youth national team U-19 will play friendly matches against Spanish counterparts. Both games will take place at the training base of Spain's national teams in Las Rozas, a suburb of Madrid.

The final stage of Euro-2025 (U-19) will be held in Chisinau, Moldova, from September 28 to October 5.

The debut European Championship for youth futsal was held in 2019 in Rijeka, the second edition took place in 2022 in Jaén (it was initially planned for 2021 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and the third one — in 2023 in Poreč. The champions were teams from Spain (2019, 2022) and Portugal (2023).

The Ukrainian team participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards secured third place in their group, and in 2022 they reached the semifinals. In 2023, Igor Moskvin's team also made it to the semifinal stage.
