The Ukrainian U-19 futsal team, in preparation for their training camp before the Euro 2025 (U-19), played a friendly match against Spanish counterparts of the same age group.

Coach Igor Moskvichov's wards met with the Spaniards at the national teams' training base in Las Rozas, on the outskirts of Madrid.

The start of the match was even, but then the Spanish team increased their intensity, resulting in several dangerous shots on goal for the blue and yellow team. In one episode, our team was saved by a strong defense, while goalkeeper Ivan Belimov made an excellent save. However, only one of our counterattacks ended successfully. On the 12th minute, Stanislav Shklyaruk scored with a shot from outside the box, and Miguel Gonzalez's ball flew into the net. The Spaniards responded with a goal by the same Gonzalez on the 19th minute, who powerfully struck from six meters.

The second half began with an attack by the hosts of the court. We sharply replied and in one moment after Bogdan Tzap's shot, Spain was saved by a crossbar. But at the 29th minute, following Jaime Martinez's corner kick, the hosts went ahead. In the last seconds, our coach brought on a fifth field player instead of the goalkeeper, but it was the Spaniards who took advantage of this situation, scoring through the entire court to kiss an empty net. Thus, 1:3 — a defeat for Ukraine.

We remind you that the Ukrainian U-19 futsal team, having successfully performed in the main round of Euro 2025 qualification, qualified for one of four European championships.

Within Group 5 of the main round of Euro 2025 (U-19) qualifiers, which were held in the Serbian city of Vrnjacka Banja, blue and yellow convincingly beat Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), while in the decisive match they narrowly defeated the hosts (1:0). Thus, Ukrainians secured first place in their group and qualified for the European championship.
