September 20, on the sidelines of Kyiv's NTI named after Viktor Bannikov within the sports law forum, the UBA Football CUP-2025 tournament took place, during which the legal community demonstrated that it can not only discuss law but also show its true character on a football field.

The competition was organized with the support of the Ukrainian Association of Football and the tournament partner, EvrikaLaw law firm, as well as medical partner Viva clinic.

First of all, I would like to thank the Ukrainian Armed Forces and everyone who contributed to making this tournament happen. Thanks to support and joint efforts, we have the opportunity to hold competitions, even with some delay, but most importantly — they are happening, and we can play here.

When we organized the sports forum, we understood that just a conference format would be insufficient. Therefore, we decided to add another important component — a football tournament. This allowed us to give the forum practical significance, unite participants not only around discussions but also in common sporting activity,”— noted at the opening of the tournament First Vice President of UAF Artem Stoyanov.

“I thank Artem Stoyanov for his wonderful idea. We have not met with you for four years now. The last tournament was quite significant — before the full-scale invasion, and we all remember it well. But this tournament is even more significant, and thanks to Artem's idea, we are gathered again, have an opportunity to communicate and play.

I hope that the tournament will help us continue to develop and find new opportunities,”— noted Deputy Head of the Appeals Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football Andriy Shabelnykov.

According to the regulations, teams were divided into four groups of four each. All participants played in groups under a round-robin system. Winners of quartets met in semifinals. Teams that lost in 1/2-finals faced off in the match for third place. The teams that won their semifinals advanced to the decisive match.

Winners received diplomas, medals and football shirts with autographs of players from FC «Dynamo» (Kyiv) and FC «Shakhtar» (Donetsk). The winner also received an exclusive “Golden Ball” with original signatures of all three Ukrainian winners of this trophy — Oleh Blokhin, Ihor Belanov and Andriy Shevchenko, — a cup, diplomas and medals.
