The final stage of the Ukrainian championship among veterans aged 45+ dedicated to the memory of prominent footballer and coach Anatoly Konkov concluded at Taras Shevchenko National University Stadium in Kyiv. The tournament brought together the strongest teams in the country and became a bright event of the sports summer.

The championship was organized by the Ukrainian Association of Football Veterans, Sobolchyn Family Charity Foundation, and TOV "Agrobiznes" with support from the Ukrainian Football Association.

The Ukrainian Championship 45+ is one of the oldest and most prestigious veteran tournaments in Ukraine, with this being the 25th edition. In 2025, fifteen teams participated, and six of the best made it to the final stage: "Syraї" (Chernihiv region), "Kudrivka" (Kyiv region), "Agrobiznes" (Khmelnytskyi region), "Desna" (Chernihiv), "Machukhi" (Poltava region), and the Lviv Region Veterans League team.

Among those who participated in the award ceremony were the best footballer of the USSR in 1966, Vice President of AVFU Andriy Biba, honored football player and Master of Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Zavarov, close friend and colleague of Anatoly Konkov Viktor Pischev. Oleg Sobolchyn, founder of the national veterans team of Ukraine, was absent due to military service duties. On his behalf, greetings and wishes for a swift end to the war and victory for Ukraine were conveyed to all teams, fans, and honored guests.
